Pakistan and China Commit to Completing CPEC Projects

Islamabad, Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to fully implement all projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and enhance bilateral cooperation to meet common goals. This pledge was made during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Zheng Jianbang, on the sidelines of the 15th OIC Islamic Summit Conference in Banjul, Gambia.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions underscored the enduring All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two nations. Both sides expressed intentions to deepen parliamentary exchanges and enhance mutual understanding and cooperation across various sectors.

The meeting also touched on China’s relationship with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), emphasizing the importance of dialogue and collaboration for mutual peace and prosperity. Dar reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for China on critical issues, while Zheng reaffirmed China’s support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and development aspirations.
