Ishaq Dar chairs meeting of Daata Darbar religious affairs committee

Lahore, January 12, 2014 (PPI-OT): The Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar presided over a meeting of Daata Darbar Religious Affairs Committee to review the arrangements made during the Urs of Daata Sahib here today.

The Finance Minister expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made for facilitating the Zaireen during the Urs and particularly thanked Secretary Auqaf Punjab Dr. Saqib Aziz for the excellent arrangements.

The Finance Minister also appreciated the working of various committees assigned logistic work, Security, Food for Zaireen, arrangements made for Qirat, Naat programmes, lodging and boarding facilities for Ulema and Mushaikh, Transport and Communication.

The Finance Minister congratulated the committees for arrangements made during the Urs of Daata Sahib.

The meeting also took stock of the expenditure made during the Urs and Finance Minister directed that a Transparency and strict adherence to rules and regulation must be followed.

In his concluding remarks Finance Minister once against thanked all those who had contributed in any away to make Urs a success including the Punjab Government, specially local administration and law enforcement agencies for assuring that the Urs celebrations were held with solemnity.

The meeting was also attended by the senior officials of Punjab Government and members of Daata Darbar Religious committee.
