Islamabad Bids Farewell to SSP Yasir Afridi in Honorary Ceremony

Islamabad, A solemn farewell ceremony was held at the Central Police Office today to honor SSP Yasir Afridi of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), who is transitioning from his role at the Islamabad Capital Police. The event, attended by top police officials, marked the end of an impactful tenure for SSP Afridi within the capital’s law enforcement agency.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Headquarters Hassan Raza Khan presided over the ceremony as the chief guest. The event was well-attended by an array of dignitaries, including all DIGs, SSPs, AIGs, and SPs, highlighting the high esteem in which SSP Afridi is held.

DIG Khan lauded SSP Afridi’s diligent service and leadership qualities, noting his commitment to duty and his role in spearheading operations with dignity and vigor. He praised Afridi’s proactive approach to law enforcement and leadership, particularly in his roles as AIG Special Branch and SSP CTD.

The ceremony concluded with DIG Headquarters presenting a police shield and a bouquet to SSP Afridi as symbols of gratitude and recognition from the Islamabad Capital Police. The gesture reflected the department’s appreciation for his years of service and good wishes for his future endeavors.
