Islamabad, Residents in Islamabad can anticipate a reduction in their electricity bills for the current month due to a favorable adjustment in fuel prices.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority, the power tariff has been decreased by PKR 2.90 per unit for the month of April. This adjustment brings down the fuel price component of the electricity bill to PKR 4.92 per unit, a significant drop from the previous rate of PKR 7.00 per unit.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting confirmed that this decrease is part of the routine fuel price adjustment mechanism that reflects fluctuations in the global fuel market, benefiting consumers by passing on the cost savings directly to them.
