Islamabad Police Arrest 12 in Anti-Narcotics Crackdown, Seize Drugs and Weapons

Islamabad, Following the directives of the Inspector General, Islamabad Police has initiated a significant crackdown on narcotics, resulting in the arrest of 12 individuals and the seizure of various drugs and weapons. This operation is part of the “Nasha Ab Nahi” campaign aimed at curbing drug abuse among the youth.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests and seizures occurred over the past 24 hours. The operation saw the apprehension of criminals across different sectors of Islamabad, with notable arrests including Naveed Masih in Karachi Company, who was found with 15 liters of liquor, and Qasir Mehmood in Bhara Kahu, caught with 550 grams of heroin. Additional seizures included substantial amounts of heroin and hashish, as well as several firearms.

The campaign involved multiple police teams: Koral, Humak, Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Lohi Bher, and Phulgran, each contributing to the successful operation by arresting individuals and confiscating illegal items. Deputy Inspector General of Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, has ordered a heightened crackdown on criminal activities, emphasizing that the safety and security of citizens are paramount and will be vigorously upheld.
