Islamabad, In a gesture of remembrance and respect, the Islamabad Capital Police organized a special Eid-ul-Fitr feast for the families of martyrs and police officials. The event, held at the Police Lines Headquarters Masjid, was attended by senior police officers, including DIG Headquarters Hasan Raza Khan, who joined the families and colleagues in observance of the holiday.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the feast served as an occasion to honor the 62 officers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Families of the martyrs were invited to participate in the day’s events, which included a guard of honor presented by a smart contingent of police, visits to the martyrs’ memorial, and recitations of Fatiha to pay respects to the fallen officers.
DIG Hasan Raza Khan expressed the department’s enduring gratitude and respect for the martyrs, stating that their sacrifices are a vital part of the nation’s history and the police force’s legacy. He emphasized that the Islamabad Capital Police holds the memory of its martyrs in high regard and continues to support their families.
Additionally, the event featured gift distributions to the martyrs’ families by senior police officials, further demonstrating the force’s commitment to acknowledging their contributions and losses. Similar feasts were also held at various police stations across the city, where senior officers celebrated Eid with their subordinates, fostering a sense of community and shared respect within the force.
