Jahangir Siddiqui Increases Stake in His Company via Share Acquisition

Karachi, Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Ltd. disclosed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange that Mr. Jahangir Siddiqui has increased his stake in the company by acquiring 50,000 Class ‘A’ Preference Shares. As of April 22, 2024, Mr. Siddiqui’s total shareholding in the company has reached 75,824,161 shares.

The transaction involved the purchase of shares on two separate dates through the ready market, with each batch of 25,000 shares acquired at a price of PKR 7.55 per share. The purchases were made electronically through the Central Depository Company (CDC).

The details of these transactions, provided in Annexure ‘A’, are in compliance with clause 5.6.4 of the Rule Book of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited. This acquisition represents a significant increase in Mr. Siddiqui’s investment in his company, positioning him with a more substantial ownership stake.
