Japan Press Pool Service to Be Offered during APEC Meetings in Hawaii

TOKYO, Nov. 10 /Kyodo JBN-AsiaNet/ —

The Mainichi Daily News, NIKKEI, Kyodo News and The Japan Times are launching a joint English portal website from Nov. 11 to Nov. 15 to provide news reports, remarks by officials, official documents and other information for a series of 2011 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum meetings to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Media organizations can access the Japan Press Pool Service website to obtain the following in English:
* news alerts and reports on the meetings as well as talks on the sidelines involving Japan;
* top stories from Japan;
* remarks from press conferences, official comments by Japan’s foreign minister and prime minister, and Japanese press briefings;
* news photos;
* information and news reports on side events;
* schedules; and
* official documents to be released by the Japanese government.
