Japan to sign deal for Health Oriented Preventive Education and Vocational Training Centre

Karachi, September 18, 2012 (PPI-OT): The Consulate General of Japan at Karachi on behalf of the Japanese Government is holding the Grant Contract Signing Ceremony with Health Oriented Preventive Education Foundation (HOPE), entitled “The Project for Expansion of Health Oriented Preventive Education Formal School and Vocational Training Center at Korangi in Karachi”.

The signing ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 19th 2011, at 2:30 pm sharp at Health Oriented Preventive Education Formal School at Korangi. Mr. Masamichi Abe, Acting Consul-General of Japan, will represent the Japanese Government while Chairperson Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla will be representing Health Oriented Preventive Education Foundation (HOPE).

(Please arrive at Health Oriented Preventive Education Formal School 10 minutes before the time of the ceremony. Also please bring your photo ID to enter the school.)

The Government of Japan has been keenly promoting the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP) in Pakistan since 1989, amounting to more than 200 projects throughout Pakistan, assisting in the field of Health, Primary Education, Water Supply, Environment, Vocational Training, Agriculture and various other fields.

Its main purpose is, supporting NGOs/CBOs and Local Government Bodies, by covering the costs of relatively small projects, which find it difficult to manage on their own. This is the seventh GGP for the Consulate General of Japan, which draws attentions to the Japan’s contribution to the social welfare activities and poverty reduction.
