Javed Mir says pro-India leaders exploiting Kashmiris’ sacrifices

Srinagar, January 20, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader Javaid Ahmad Mir has said that pro-India leaders are exploiting the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people to advance their political agenda. Javed Ahmad Mir was addressing a gathering in Srinagar, today, in connection with the martyrdom anniversary of his father Ghulam Nabi Mir. He said the agenda for the freedom of Kashmir was hijacked by these pro-India leaders.

Javaid Ahmad Mir on the occasion said, in 1988 at the start of the armed struggle in Kashmir, Indian forces one night arrested his father Ghulam Nabi Mir and took him to the notorious BSF Interrogation centre PAPA2 .Then he was shifted to Central Jail Srinagar wherein he suffered from the paralysis. He was then shifted to the Soura Medical Institute where he breathed his last on 21st January, 1992.

The APHC leader said he was proud of his father who devoted his life for the Kashmir cause. He said thousand of Kashmiri youth were brutality killed by Indian forces at notorious PAPA2, which was being used as residence by puppet Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed till his death. At the end of the meeting, special prayers were offered for the martyrs of Kashmir and Ghulam Nabi Mir.
