Karachi Development Authority Accelerates Civic Center Beautification Efforts

Karachi, Director General Karachi Development Authority Syed Shujaat Hussain has taken a hands-on approach in overseeing the beautification works around the Civic Center Building. During his review, he emphasized the need for expediting the project, which includes the replacement of deteriorated manhole covers, installation of curb stones, and enhancement of footpath aesthetics with paver blocks.

According to Karachi Development Authority, DG Hussain instructed the immediate removal of any obstacles hindering the beautification process and demanded that the improvements be completed ahead of schedule. He highlighted the importance of enhancing the greenery around the Civic Center by planting saplings and rare plants under the Civic Center flyover and its surroundings. Director Parks Shakeel Khan was specifically tasked with these initiatives.

Furthermore, DG Hussain conducted a thorough review of the cleaning and sanitation arrangements of the building, expressing satisfaction with the current state but calling for further enhancements. He ordered Executive Engineers Azhar Abidi and Shoaib to remove unnecessary equipment and bolster both internal and external security measures. Steps to improve the building’s parking system were also discussed to facilitate better access and convenience for visitors.

The meeting was attended by key personnel including Executive Engineers, the Personal Staff Officer to the DG, and other officers, highlighting the collaborative effort involved in the project.
