Karachi Electric Supply Company Limited Demands immediate arrest of lineman’s killers: Shuts down operations in Godhra

Karachi: Karachi Electric Supply Company has closed down all operations in Godhra, North Karachi till arrest of the identified murderers of lineman Qamar Alam, a member of repair team. Mr. Alam was on duty, busy in repairing local faults in Makkah Colony in North Karachi area when members of a religio-political party fired gunshots at him. He expired on the spot. Eyewitnesses identified one of the attackers as Faizan s/o Haji Ahmed and the other was Haji Ahmed from the same party.

After this incident KESC immediately stopped business operations and repair work in the area till arrest of the culprits. KESC management lodged strong protest on the killing of the linemen and demanded stern action against the culprits and to provide due security to the employees working. In case of no action by the Government to bring the culprits to justice, KESC would decide future line of action
