Karachi Initiates Hydration Stations to Combat Heat Wave

Karachi, In response to rising temperatures, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation has implemented a new initiative under the direction of CEO Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, featuring the installation of cold drinks and water dispensers at various locations around the city to aid citizens during the heat wave.

According to Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation, the installations have been set up at 14 different sites, including all government-operated hydrants. Elahi Baksh Bhutto, in charge of the Hydrants Cell, stated that this measure not only aims to provide immediate relief from the heat but also to raise awareness among the citizens about heat wave prevention. Additionally, structures called sables have been installed to offer shade and further protection from the heat.

Focal Person CEO for Hydrants Cell, Shehbaz Bashir, is personally overseeing the initiative to ensure effective implementation and accessibility for all citizens in need during the extreme weather conditions.
