Karachi Metropolitan Corporation works out strategy for encroachments removal

Karachi, December 27, 2013 (PPI-OT): KMC Administrator Rauf Akhtar Farooqui said comprehensive strategy should be adapted to take effective measures for removal of various types of encroachments alongside all major roads and corridors, pavements and storm water drains and in the parks and playgrounds. This would improve traffic flow on roads and facilitate citizens.

He said this while addressing in a joint meeting of task force for eradication of encroachments and anti encroachments department which was attended by Senior Director Bilal Manzar, Director Anti Encroachments Abdul Malik and other officers.

Administrator Karachi said not only these encroachments put adverse affect on the city’s infrastructure but also pose big hurdle in the planning made for the city and therefore citizens demands their removal from roads, roundabouts, drains and other locations. He directed anti encroachments staff to take action against all kinds of encroachments.
