National Conference Criticizes Modi’s Policies in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu, The National Conference (NC) has voiced strong criticism of the Modi government’s impact on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), asserting that the administration’s policies have significantly worsened living conditions across the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Rattan Lal Gupta, the NC president for the Jammu region, spoke at a series of meetings in Poonch city where he highlighted the adverse effects of the current government’s policies on the local population. Gupta accused the BJP of deceiving the public with empty promises and blamed the New Delhi-installed administration for exacerbating hardships for the common people in IIOJK.

Gupta outlined a series of systemic issues plaguing the region, including record high unemployment rates, rampant corruption, recruitment scandals, agricultural losses, and declining healthcare services. These problems, he argued, are direct results of policies implemented by the central government over the past decade, which he claimed have “virtually broken the spine of common people.”
