Kashmir movement enters its crucial stage: Prof Butt Main Add comments

Srinagar, January 15, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior All Parties Hurriyet Conference leader and Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt saying that freedom movement has entered its critical phase has demanded the resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, while addressing a party meeting at Sanoora Kalipora in Badgam said that it was imperative for nuclear powers like India, Pakistan, China and America to resolve the Kashmir dispute for ensuring economic prosperity.

“The movement for which we have rendered uncounted sacrifices since decades is at crucial stage. India, Pakistan, China and America have become parties to this dispute because of their own interests.”

“So keeping their interests especially the economic one they are heading towards its resolution. So we must stand up and claim the ownership and demand the resolution according to our own aspirations.” Butt added.

The senior APHC leader urged the people of Kashmir to make it clear to the parties to the conflict that only such resolution would be acceptable to them, which would be according the aspirations and wishes of common Kashmiris.

Welcoming the ongoing talks between India and Pakistan on trade and other issues, Professor Butt said both the countries can’t achieve anything from the talks as the core issue between the countries which causes confrontation among them is Kashmir issue and without its any resolution they can’t achieve peace and prosperity.

He said that both the countries must prioritize Kashmir in ongoing talks and resolve it amicably.

Professor Butt accompanied by Vice President Abdul Rashid Untoo and along with its several leaders latter visited Abdul Hamid Dar and Abdul Majeed Dar whose mother passed away after brief illness and expressed solidarity with the family.
