Kashmiri activist Waqar Bhatti booked in Jammu

Jammu, June 02, 2023 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a Kashmiri activist, Waqar Bhatti has been booked by Jammu Police. The Jammu Police claimed that the activist was booked on charges of fanning communal divide and outraging religious feelings of people belonging to a particular community on Thursday.

Waqar was booked on the complaint of Hindutva group Rashtriya Bajrang Dal Chief of J and K unit, Rakesh Kumar, who alleged Bhatti made derogatory remarks against Bageshwar Dham Baba Dheerandra Shastri. ”An FIR has been lodged against Bhatti ,” Station House officer (SHO), Neeraj Choudhary said.
