Kashmiri martyrs’ sacrifices not to go waste

Srinagar, June 29, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza and Nayeem Ahmed Khan, have said that the Kashmiri martyrs’ sacrifices, which have centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at the global level, will not be allowed to go waste.

Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza in their statements issued in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to three youth, Shujat-ul-Islam, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khanday and Imtiyaz Ahmad, on the eve of their martyrdom anniversary. The three youth were killed by Indian troops in cold-blood in the lawn of a house in Islamabad town on 29th June in 2010.

The leaders said that the mission of Kashmiri martyrs would be accomplished at all costs. Nayeem Ahmed Khan visited Sopore and expressed solidarity with the family of a youth, who was recently killed by the troops. Addressing a gathering on the occasion, he appealed to the world community to take notice of genocide of Kashmiris at the hands of Indian forces.

The veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, APHC leader, Bilal Ghani Lone and the Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir have strongly denounced the action of the puppet authorities to seize the property of a prominent freedom fighter, Aamir Khan, at Livar in Pahalgam. They in their statements described the action as vindictive.

The Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen, Zamruda Habib, in a statement in Srinagar demanded release of all illegally detained Kashmiris before commencing of the holy month of Ramadan.

A government employee, Shakeel Ahmed Ganai, attempted to commit suicide by consuming poisonous substance at Lelahar in Kakapora area of Pulwama district after facing continued harassment at the hands of Indian army and other agencies.
