Kashmiris Assert Right to Self-Determination Despite Indian Oppression

Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has called on the international community to recognize the severity of India’s actions against Kashmiris striving for self-determination, a right affirmed by the United Nations.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas detailed the ongoing struggles of Kashmiris under Indian rule, citing frequent cordon and search operations that terrorize local populations. The statement emphasized that the Kashmiri resistance remains undeterred, committed to achieving freedom from what they view as New Delhi’s illegal occupation.

The advocacy group reported that civilians, especially in the regions of Poonch and Rajouri, face arrests and raids on the homes of Hurriyat activists, increasing the distress of their families. Despite these challenges, the APHC remains resolute in pursuing their goal of self-determination to what they consider its rightful end.
