Saudi Delegation’s Visit Promises Economic Boost for Pakistan, Says PM Sharif

Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed optimism about the recent visit of a high-level Saudi delegation led by the Deputy Minister for Investment, predicting significant positive impacts for Pakistan’s economic future.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sharif in Islamabad on Tuesday, he highlighted the appreciation shown by the head of the Saudi delegation for the preparation and determination demonstrated by Pakistani cabinet members at the investment conference. The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the ministers of commerce, petroleum, finance, and their secretaries for their roles in fostering this burgeoning partnership.

The cabinet also approved several key agreements during the meeting, including a Memorandum of Understanding with Colombia to establish a joint trade committee. Additionally, the Federal Cabinet granted approval for Air Sial to operate flights to China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Kuwait, aligning with the National Aviation Policy 2023 and the Air Services Agreement. The cabinet further endorsed decisions made by the Cabinet Committee on Projects related to Chinese Investment, ensuring continued advancement on these fronts.
