Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Visit Pakistan on Invitation of PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: At the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is set to make his first state visit to Pakistan starting tomorrow. He will be joined by a high-level delegation, which includes senior Cabinet Ministers and other high-ranking officials.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the two-day visit, President Tokayev is scheduled to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, engage in talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and address the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum. This visit serves as a significant opportunity for both nations to conduct a comprehensive review of their bilateral relations and explore new avenues for cooperation, especially in areas such as trade, logistics, and regional connectivity. The discussions will also focus on enhancing people-to-people contacts and exploring collaboration at regional and international forums.

The Foreign Office spokesperson remarked that the visit underscores the strengthening ties between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. It highlights their mutual commitment to transforming historical and cultural ties into robust cooperation and their shared aspiration for peace and progress in the region.
