Peshawar, The Department of Primary and Secondary Education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has introduced a new system allowing recently promoted teachers to submit their posting preferences via email and WhatsApp. This initiative aims to streamline the process and ensure postings align closely with teacher preferences, ultimately enhancing their ability to teach effectively.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the promotion process within the department has seen significant enhancements, with many long-pending cases resolved swiftly. Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarkai and Education Secretary Masood Ahmed have commended the improvements and emphasized the importance of accommodating teachers’ preferences in postings to enable them to serve near their homes. This approach is intended to boost their dedication and effort in teaching.
The new communication channels an email address (sectionofficersm@gmail.com) and a WhatsApp number (03219122614) have been set up specifically for teachers promoted as of April 1, 2024. Teachers are encouraged to submit up to three preferences, which will be considered during their postings. This method is expected not only to address previous issues with preference collection but also to save time and further improve the educational environment for students.
