Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Minister Visits Orphanage, Pledges Support


Peshawar, Provincial Minister for Food Zahir Shah Toro, alongside Member Provincial Assembly Abdul Salam Afridi and Deputy Commissioner Mardan Fayyaz Sherpao, recently visited the Border Orphanage on Shamsi Road in Mardan, engaging with the staff and children, and recognizing top students.



According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during his visit, Minister Toro distributed prizes and gifts to children who excelled in their annual examinations. He was briefed on the challenges facing the institution and assured the staff of timely support to address these issues. Minister Toro emphasized the government’s commitment to the welfare of orphans, stating that providing care and raising orphans is a shared responsibility of the government and society.



The visit underscores the provincial government’s recognition of its role in supporting vulnerable segments of the community, particularly children without parental care.
