Korangi Association of Trade and Industry condoles sad demise of Saifur Rehman Grami

Karachi, January 17, 2013 (PPI-OT): Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) has condoled the sad demise of former vice-president of the Arts Council of Pakistan, Saifur Rehman Grami, who passed away on Tuesday.

Patron In-Chief KATI, S M Muneer, Chairman Mohammad Zubair Chhaya, President All Karachi Industrial alliance, Mian Zahid Hussain, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, former Chairman Farhanur Rehman and Vice Chairmen Najmul n Arfeen and Niaz Ahmed while expressing their deep sorrow and heartfelt grief over the death of Saifur Rehman Grami who had died during an open heart surgery. They said that Grami had remained vice-president and secretary of Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and several times served on its governing body.

The deceased also remained associated with the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) for over 25 years and had served as Director of Culture, Social Welfare and Sports. Hey said that Grami did a lot for the promotion of fine arts, cultural heritage and sports in the metropolis. They prayed for the eternal peace for the deceased and courage for the family to bear this great loss.
