Korean Ambassador Discusses IT Cooperation with Pakistan’s State Minister

Islamabad: The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Park Kijun, met with Pakistan’s Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to discuss enhancing cooperation in the fields of IT and telecommunications. The meeting focused on mutual interests, including the Islamabad IT Park project and the digitalization initiatives in Pakistan.

According to Press Information Department, both parties explored the benefits of shared experiences and expertise in IT. Minister Shaza Fatima highlighted the significant strides Pakistan is making towards digitalization under the directives of the Prime Minister. She also stressed the importance of the Islamabad IT Park, a project supported by Korea, emphasizing its rapid completion as a priority for the government.

The discussions also covered proposals for joint training programs and the exchange of technology experts between the two countries. Secretary IT, Ms. Aisha Humera Chaudhary, also present at the meeting, underscored the potential for deepened collaboration in technology and telecommunications.
