Marvi Memon calls for every possible step for rehabilitation of flood affectees

Karachi, August 30, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Minister of State and Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), MNA Marvi Memon, has called for every possible measures for the rehabilitation of the flood affectees. She assured that the federal government would also extend any required assistance in this regard.

Ms. Marvi Memon said this during a visit to the flood affectees at Keti Bandar (District Thatta) and Baghan Relief Camp on Sunday. On arrival at the Baghan Relief Camp, Ms. Marvi Memon was warmly received and flower petals were showered on her vehicle. On the occasion, she also ascertained the problems of the flood affectees.

The Deputy Commissioner Thatta, Nadeem ur Rehman Memon, and the Assistant Commissioner, Usman Tanvir, gave a detailed briefing regarding the relief efforts. They said that the flood affectees have been provided with the required items. After the necessary verification, the flood affectees are being given eatables as well on daily basis.

Ms. Marvi Memon directed on the occasion that every possible resources be utilized for providing assistance to the flood affectees. Apart from the Baghan Relief Camp, Ms. Marvi Memon also visited the flood affected areas of Keti Bandar which included Haji Hashim Memon Babio Goth and Siddiq Memon Goth and also met with the flood affectees.

She assured the people that in the hour of need the government under the leadership of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is standing with them for resolution of their problems and their rehabilitation. The flood affectees thanked Ms. Marvi Memon for her visit, listening to their problems and assurance of the resolution of these.
