Islamabad, June 20, 2013 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar has issued special instructions to ensure that every intending pilgrim proceeding for performing Hajj be given complete immunization cover. Fool proof arrangements be made for vaccination against meningitis and polio at all Haji Camps and airports in the country, she said.
She directed the Director General Health Dr. Qazi Abdus Saboor and Director Central Health Establishment Dr. Tahir Akbar to make special arrangements in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Provincial health departments and Civil Aviation authorities so that no outbound pilgrim is deprived of vaccination against these diseases.
