Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control chairs high level meeting

Islamabad, November 16, 2013 (PPI-OT): A high level meeting chaired by the Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan held at the Ministry of Interior .Three Provincial Ministers of Punjab including Law Minister Rana Sanaullah,Raja Asfaq Sarwar,Khanzada Shujah and Chief Secretary Punjab, IG Punjab, Secretary Interior, senior officers of Rawalpindi/Islamabad administration and that of intelligence agencies participated in the meeting.

The meeting expressed deep sorrow upon the tragic loss of nine lives and valuable properties at Rawalpindi on November 15, 2013 and directed the administration to identify the culprits involved in the incident and bring them to justice.

The meeting also directed that an overboard transparent enquiry be conducted to identify these perpetrators and unveil the conspirators planning to disturb the sectarian harmony.

The meeting further deliberated upon relaxing curfew and directed that the law enforcing agencies should remain alert and deployed. It was directed in the meeting that all medical facilities be provided free of cost to the injured.

The meeting also called upon the Ulema from all sects to play due positive role in forging peace and harmony.

The meeting also directed the administration to evaluate the losses to property for subsequent compensation. Also appealed for calm among public and sought their cooperation in identifying the culprits.
