Minister for Religious Affairs Commits to Protecting Minority Rights in Pakistan

Islamabad, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain has affirmed the government’s dedication to safeguarding the fundamental rights of minorities. This commitment was highlighted during the official celebration of Eid e Rizwan, an event for the Pakistani Bahai community hosted by his ministry.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Hussain called for increased tolerance and harmony to foster a balanced society. He also took the opportunity to praise the Bahai community’s contributions to Pakistan, particularly in the arts, and encouraged national emulation of their educational endeavors. Secretary for Religious Affairs Ata ur Rehman also spoke, noting that a new policy aimed at promoting religious harmony is nearing approval.
