Minister social welfare directs police to arrest offenders set alight teenager in Tharo Shah

Karachi, January 03, 2017 (PPI-OT): Provincial minister for social welfare Shamim Mumtaz took notice of incident in which a sixteen year old Abdul Qayoom Panhwar was set alight after throwing petrol by unknown persons in village Mitha Khan Panhwar near Tharo Shah.

Provincial minister telephoned SSP Naushehro Feroz and directed him to arrest the culprits involved in such inhuman act. ‘Culprits must be awarded exemplary punishment through the court of law,” she added. SSP Naushehro Feroze Altaf Leghari told the minister that offender would be arrested within 24 hours.

Provincial minister also talked with the father of victim and expressed her sympathy. She assured him that best possible treatment facilities would be provided to teenager.

Meanwhile, on the instruction of minister social welfare, Deputy Director Child Welfare Fozia Masoom visited victim who was shifted from Tharo Shah to Karachi for treatment to repair severe injuries at civil hospital burns ward. It may be mentioned here that 80 percent body of victim is affected.
