Minister Tarar Critiques Awam Pakistan Party as Elite and Contradictory

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has criticized the newly formed Awam Pakistan party, labeling its inauguration as an elite assembly with inconsistent rhetoric. The minister responded to the claims made by the party’s leaders, highlighting their previous tenures in significant governmental roles and questioning their current statements and promises.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar specifically called out former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, questioning his silence during his time in power and the effectiveness of past leaders who are now making new promises. Tarar expressed skepticism about the political sincerity of those who claim to be non-power-hungry yet position themselves as saviors. He praised the achievements of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in governance, citing improvements in the standard of living and national development under their administration. He underscored the ongoing efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his cabinet to enhance Pakistan’s economic standing.
