Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Mourns Recent Losses in Kashmir Community


Srinagar, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), has expressed his condolences following the recent deaths of several notable individuals in the region, including the mother of Abdul Hameed Sofi, General Secretary of Nusratul-Islam Trust Islamabad.



According to Kashmir Media Service, among the deceased were the young daughter of businessman and social activist Rauf Ahmad Punjabi; the wife of Qazi Burhan Shonthoo from Majid Bagh Sanat Nagar; and Ghulam Rasool Sofi of Braripora Nawakdal, who was Farooq Ahmad Soudagar’s father-in-law.



Mirwaiz Umar Farooq shared his heartfelt condolences and expressed solidarity with all the grieving families. He prayed for patience, courage, and steadfastness for the bereaved and for the eternal peace of the departed souls in Jannat-ul-Firdous.



In addition, various delegations visited Islamabad, Sanat Nagar, and Braripora Nawakdal to offer their condolences to the families affected by these losses. These delegations also conducted Fateha prayers for the souls of those who passed away.
