Moroccan king holds phone conversation with Nigerian president

Rabat (IINA) � Morocco’s King Mohammed VI held a phone call on Wednesday with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, Morocco World News reported citing a statement by the Royal Office.

During the conversation, the king enquired about the health of President Buhari and voiced satisfaction at his noteworthy improvement, said the statement.

The two sides also touched on the outcome of the meeting, held in Casablanca last December, on the Morocco-Nigeria Atlantic Gazoduc and the upcoming stages of this strategic project.

King Mohammed VI thanked President Buhari for his personal involvement concerning the return of Morocco to the African Union (AU). He also assured the president of his intention to making the Rabat-Abuja strategic axis a framework for consultation and cooperation on all African issues, the statement added.
