Munir calls for conservation of endangered wildlife species

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative in the United Nations Munir Akram has called for conservation of endangered wildlife species especially the Markhor.

He was speaking at an event titled “Conserving the Markhor,” in New York.

Munir Akram said the Markhor, an ecologically significant species, plays a vital role in its ecosystem. It also offers substantial opportunities to boost economy, foster conservation efforts and promote sustainable tourism.

He expressed Pakistan’s willingness to share its knowledge and experience in Markhor conservation with other countries.
