Islamabad, May 24, 2023 (PPI-OT):National Assembly Standing Committee on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Committee has directed the Ministry of Climate Change to seal all those factories that are still manufacturing plastic bags. The meeting was held in Islamabad on Wednesday under the Chairpersonship of MNA Nuzhat Pathan.
The Committee also directed Environment Protection Agency to ensure strict actions against those shops using polythene bags. The Committee also stressed upon launching of publicity awareness campaign regarding disbanding of usage of plastic bags on Electronic and Print media.
