NAB (KPK) briefing on Investigation against Dr. Abdul Samad

Islamabad, February 19, 2019 (PPI-OT): On the directions of Honorable Justice Javed Iqbal, Chairman NAB, Combined Investigation Team (CIT) of NAB (KPK) along with relevant record gave briefing of the Investigation against Dr. Abdul Samad, Director, Department of Archaeology and Museum, KPK. Details regarding grounds for arrest, evidence collected and role of accused persons were presented by Combined Investigation Team (CIT). It was apprised that instant matter was also earlier taken up by Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE), KPK.

Chairman NAB provided necessary guidance regarding collection of further evidence and directed to conclude the investigation on merit after examining all relevant rules and procedures and meeting all codal formalities. It was further directed that self respect of any person should not be undermined in any case. Further, Chairman NAB directed to submit progress report in the case on daily basis to NAB Headquarters (HQ) and to prepare a detailed progress report during his visit to NAB (KP) where opportunity of personal hearing will be offered to Dr. Abdul Samad, Director, Department of Archaeology and Museum, KPK.
