National Assembly Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza chair meeting of National Assembly Finance Committee

Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza chaired a meeting of the National Assembly Finance Committee in Parliament House, today.

After discussion, the Committee approved the regularization of 53-contingent paid employees of BPS-1 to 4, increase of promotional quota of Security Staff of National Assembly Secretariat from 33% to 50%, up-gradation of posts of Protocol Assistants and Telephone Attendants from BPS 12 to 14 and from BPS 4 to 7, respectively.

The committee approved the increase of remuneration of Qaries for the recitation of Holy Quran during the sessions of the National Assembly. The Committee also allowed continuation of temporary post in the National Assembly Secretariat for the financial year 2011-12.

The meeting was attended by MNAs Syed Ghulam Mustafa shah, Ms. Fauzia Wahab, Mrs. Asma Arbab Alamgir, Dr. Nafisa Shah, Mrs. Yasmeen Rehman, Ch. Saud Majeed, Rana Tanvir Hussain, Mrs. Farkhunda Amjad, Mrs. Bushra Rehman, Mufti Ajmal Khan, Mr. Saeed Ahmad Zafar, Secretary m/o Finance, Secretary and other senior officers of National Assembly Secretariat.
