National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited starts internship programme for Public and private engineering students

Lahore, June 25, 2013 (PPI-OT): National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDCL) has started one month Internship Training Programme for more than 118 students of 24 Public and Private Universities of the country, who joined with a view to enhance their technical and managerial skills. To welcome internees, an orientation ceremony was held here at WAPDA house Lahore, today.

In his opening addresses, General Manager CPPA/NTDC Mr Tahir Mahmood said that this training programme will play a vital role to enrich the academic career and provide them off-hand opportunities, where knowledge from theoretical work is applied in real terms.

He further said that the student will get ample opportunities of learning by working on mega projects of national importance, which are being carried out by NTDCL.

While giving introductory presentation, Director General Human Resource NTDC Muhammad Gulzar Sheikh said that this tenure of internship will fetch advantages of gaining exposure of all facets involved in management and administration as well as despatch and transmission business oriented entity.

The experienced manpower of versatile formations of NTDCL like Design, System Protection, Power Planning, Grid System Construction and Grid System Operations will deliver their professional prowess towards the young internees, which will ultimately help in contributing the national development.

Later, Chief Engineer GSO Muhmmad Akhtar Ch, Chief Engineer Telecom Samar Gul Khan, Addl. Chief Engineer System Protection Muhammad Shafique, Addl. Chief Engineer CPPA Wajahat Saeed, Manager Planning power Bilal Ahmad, Addl. Manager Design Sohail Mumtaz Bajwa, Additional Manager Design and Standard Mazhar Ali, Manager Technical Services Group (TSG) Engr. Ameer Zameer and Dy Manger GSC Tahir Jadoon gave detailed presentations about their respective departments.
