NIA Detains Kashmiri Youth in Kupwara on Alleged Militant Links

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India has detained a youth in Kupwara district of the region known as Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the NIA issued a statement identifying the detained individual as Syed Salim Jahangir Andrabi. The agency claims that Andrabi had been evading arrest since June 2020 and alleges his involvement with a mujahid organization. This type of allegation is frequently used by Indian authorities to justify the arrest and harassment of Kashmiris.
