Nishat Chunian Power Announces Change in Book Closure Date Ahead of Extraordinary Meeting

Lahore: Nishat Chunian Power Limited has issued a notification about a change in the book closure start date related to its upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM). Originally scheduled for August 10, 2024, the book closure will now commence on August 8, 2024. This adjustment ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The company had previously informed stakeholders through a letter dated July 18, 2024, detailing the date, venue, time, and initial book closure dates for the EOGM. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), there are no changes to the other details previously communicated.

For clarity, the EOGM is set to take place on August 17, 2024, at The Nishat Hotel located in the Trade and Finance Centre Block near Expo Centre on Abdul Hague Road, Johar Town, Lahore. The meeting is scheduled to start at 03:00 PM.

The book closure period, critical for determining the eligibility of shareholders to attend and vote at the meeting, will now run from August 8, 2024, to August 17, 2024, inclusive of both days. Certificate Holders of the Exchange and relevant market participants have been advised to update their records and inform concerned parties accordingly.
