OIC Chief Congratulates Pakistan and Somalia on Election to UNSC

Islamabad, Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has congratulated Pakistan and Somalia on their election as non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the term 2025-2026.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the OIC Secretariat in Jeddah issued a press statement expressing that the election of these two states during a challenging period for international peace and security reflects the trust placed in them to fulfill their responsibilities within the Security Council.

The Secretary-General also acknowledged the valuable contributions of Pakistan and Somalia as members of the OIC and extended his best wishes for their continued success in serving the global community.
