Pakistan Air Force Inter Squadron Armament Competition kicks off

Karachi, November 16, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Opening Ceremony of Inter Squadron Armament Competition was held at an Operational PAF Base. Air Marshal Saeed Muhammad Khan, Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was the chief guest at the occasion.

The basic aim of the competition is to evaluate the Operational Readiness of PAF Fighter Squadrons by generating competitive environment and assess weapon system performance in academic/tactical weapon delivery profiles. All fighter Squadrons of the PAF are participating in this event. Each Squadron will be represented by a team of four pilots to fly air to ground mission in a competitive environment.

The competition will continue for 15 days. The Squadron with highest score in the competition will be awarded with Armament Competition Trophy while the Pilot with the highest score will receive the coveted Sher Afgan Trophy. At the end of the competition, a Fire Power Demonstration by all PAF Fighter aircraft will also be held.
