Pakistan and Belarus Commit to Deepening Bilateral Ties Across Multiple Sectors

Islamabad: Pakistan and Belarus have solidified their commitment to enhance bilateral cooperation following the Sixth Round of Bilateral Political Consultations held in Islamabad. This meeting marks a significant step forward in strengthening the diplomatic and economic relationships between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions, led by Additional Foreign Secretary Europe, Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan for Pakistan, and First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Lukashevich for Belarus, covered an extensive range of topics including political relations, trade, military cooperation, and educational and cultural exchanges. Both sides pledged to continue their collaboration at multilateral forums like the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, emphasizing their shared goals and mutual interests.

During the consultations, Ambassador Lukashevich also met with Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi, where they reviewed significant regional and global developments and reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to further expand and diversify their cooperative efforts. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Belarus, providing a historic backdrop to these enhanced bilateral engagements.
