Pakistan and Belarus Seek to Deepen Ties Through Parliamentary and Cultural Exchanges

Islamabad: In a meeting aimed at bolstering bilateral relations, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Belarusian Ambassador H.E. Mr. Andrei Metelitsa discussed enhancing political, cultural, and economic ties between Pakistan and Belarus.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, during their conversation at the Parliament on Monday, both leaders emphasized the importance of fostering strong people-to-people connections and cooperation in various fields for the mutual benefit of both nations. Speaker Sadiq highlighted the friendly relations between the two countries, founded on shared goals of global peace and sustainable development.

The discussions also touched upon increasing parliamentary cooperation, with Speaker Sadiq advocating for regular interactions between the parliaments of the two countries, including exchanges of parliamentary delegations and activities of parliamentary friendship groups. Such interactions are intended to enhance mutual understanding and share valuable legislative experiences.

Ambassador Metelitsa expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s hospitality and reiterated Belarus’s view of Pakistan as a key regional ally. He conveyed his country’s eagerness to strengthen linkages further, not only in governmental and parliamentary arenas but also through cultural exchanges that enrich both societies.
