Tehran: Pakistan and Iran have reached an agreement to increase the number of flights dedicated to pilgrims. This development emerged from a meeting held in Tehran between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni.
According to Radio Pakistan, the two ministers also agreed that the Pakistan-Iran border would remain open 24 hours a day during the religious periods of Muharram and Arbaeen to facilitate easier passage for religious pilgrims. In addition to enhancing travel for pilgrims, the discussions also covered cooperative measures aimed at curbing illegal immigration, human trafficking, and drug smuggling.
