Pakistan and Iraq to Facilitate Pilgrims with Special Flights for Arbaeen

Islamabad: In a significant development for Pakistani pilgrims, Pakistan and Iraq have agreed to operate special flights to accommodate travel for the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage. This decision was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the Iraqi Ambassador Hamid Abbas Lafta.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting resulted in several key agreements aimed at easing the pilgrimage process. Notably, Pakistani pilgrims traveling by air to Iraq will no longer need to surrender their passports upon entry, a move that simplifies travel logistics significantly.

Additionally, the visa quota for Pakistani pilgrims will be enhanced, facilitating greater participation in the religious observance. This collaboration underscores the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iraq and their commitment to supporting religious practices.
