Pakistan and Turkey Aim to Deepen Military and Strategic Relations

Islamabad, Top military leaders from Pakistan and Turkey convened to explore ways to expand their bilateral military and strategic cooperation, reflecting a joint commitment to strengthening defense ties between the two nations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, hosted General Metin Gurak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, in Rawalpindi today. The meeting focused on advancing the level and breadth of military engagement between the two countries.

Both leaders reiterated their determination to cultivate deeper strategic connections. General Gurak expressed admiration for the professionalism and valor of the Pakistan Armed Forces and recognized their significant contributions to combating terrorism.

Upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, General Gurak was honored with a Guard of Honour by a tri-services contingent, signifying the respect and close relationship between the armed forces of Pakistan and Turkey.
