Pakistan Funds Set for Interim Distribution, Book Closures Announced

Karachi, The CEO of several major Pakistani funds will consider and potentially approve interim distributions from profits on June 27, 2024. The funds involved include the Golden Arrow Stock Fund (GASF), AKD Opportunity Fund (AKDOF), AKD Index Tracker Fund (AKDITF), AKD Aggressive Income Fund (AKDAIF), AKD Cash Fund (AKDCF), AKD Islamic Stock Fund (AKDISSF), and AKD Islamic Income Fund (AKDISIF). This decision follows a notification of a revised book closure date, previously communicated on June 14, 2024.

The interim distributions, if approved, will be derived from profits accumulated by the funds over the period ending June 30, 2024. The Unit Holder Register for all mentioned funds will be closed from June 24, 2024, to June 27, 2024, inclusive of both dates.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this adjustment in the book closure date is essential for preparing for the proposed distributions. This process allows the funds to finalize the list of beneficiaries eligible for the interim profits distribution.

The move to distribute interim dividends is part of regular financial practices to ensure shareholders receive a portion of the profits earned by these funds. It reflects the funds’ ongoing commitment to providing value to their investors and maintaining transparency in their financial operations.
