Pakistan Introduces Online Apostille Application System to Simplify Document Authentication

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar inaugurated the “Apostille Convention” system at the Foreign Ministry, introducing an Online Apostille Application System aimed at streamlining the authentication of public documents for international use.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the new system is part of the government’s commitment to enhancing public service efficiency and accessibility. This online platform allows individuals to apply for document apostille by creating a profile and submitting documents through an online payment app developed by Habib Bank Limited.

The initiative underscores the Ministry’s focus on public facilitation and proactive service delivery, as emphasized by Ishaq Dar during the ceremony. With the Apostille certification now formalized, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its liaison offices across Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, and Gujrat will process documents through five previously notified courier companies.
