Pakistan Marks International Day of Remembrance with Strong Anti-Terrorism Stance

Islamabad: On the International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, Pakistan reiterated its strong commitment to combatting terrorism in all its forms. The Foreign Office, through spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, conveyed a solemn message of solidarity with victims and their families, honoring those who have suffered from acts of terrorism worldwide.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the spokesperson paid tribute to the countless lives lost to terrorism, including civilians and security personnel who have fallen while defending the nation against terror threats. The remembrance particularly highlighted the sacrifices of Pakistan’s security and law enforcement agencies.

Baloch also addressed the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), criticizing decades of alleged state-sponsored terrorism by Indian forces that have led to thousands of deaths. She emphasized Pakistan’s enduring support for the Kashmiri people, advocating for their right to self-determination and calling on the international community to recognize and respond to the plight of those in occupied territories.

The day was marked by a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s dedication to upholding human rights, fostering a global culture of peace, tolerance, and understanding, and continuing its vigorous efforts against terrorism.
